During the month of May, 2003, the seven “beginners” groups actively running the PEACE CHILD ISRAEL curriculum completed “Chapter A” of their 2-year experience of “dialogue through theatre and the arts”. Two of the paired groups (Jerusalem and Tel Aviv/Jaffa) performed their original plays at the end of May. The rest completed their scripts in Arabic & Hebrew and will undertake intensive rehearsals at the beginning of the school year, performing their theater pieces right before the Jewish New Year in late September.
In October all the groups will continue with “Chapter B” of the PEACE CHILD ISRAEL program by “taking the show on the road” and performing in public schools and “graduates” and as young leaders.
