PEACE CHILD ISRAEL  

The second year of Peace Child Israel activity, “Du Drama,” provides venues for “graduates” to become young leaders and role-models in their communities by performing their original plays for 6th and 7th grade young audiences in public schools. 

Peace Child Israel workshop participants undergo a year-long process, culminating in the writing and performance of an original play in Arabic and Hebrew. In the "Du-Drama" framework, during the second year, they share their experiences, as role- models, with a broader audience. They present excerpts from their original plays for students in 2 Arab and 2 Jewish schools during school hours.  After a performance of 20-30 minutes, the actors run an inter-active workshop with the audience members using content from the play as a trigger for the activity (15-20 minutes). Each ”Du Drama” workshop reaches 1000 school students per year.
