Peace Child Israel and American Communities Interact Through Theatre & The Arts
American families will host teenagers from Tel Aviv and Jaffa. The Americans and the Arab and Jewish Israeli teens will participate in workshops for the purpose of sharing personal, cultural and societal insights. The hosting American teens will prepare a sightseeing itinerary for their guests. Together, the hosts and the Peace Child Israel delegation will perform in a “double-bill” for school audiences and the public at large in each of the hosting communities. These include: Philadelphia, Cherry Hill & Washington Township in Southern New Jersey, and the Newark/West orange/Morristown New Jersey areas. |

PEACE CHILD ISRAEL - JANUARY 2006 U.S. TOUR
Peace Child Israel’s first U.S. Cultural Exchange Tour, January 15-24, 2006, is a powerful opportunity to bring together diverse groups of American teens (from Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Mennonite, African-American, and other cultural backgrounds) with Arab and Jewish Israeli teens, in a shared commitment to cultivate attitudes of global tolerance and partnership for peace. The teens will collaborate in cultural identity workshops and co-performances, for school assemblies and public audiences. A gala grand finale event will bring all of the teens (about 100) on stage to perform and declare a new possibility for the future, which they will create together during the week. The events will be filmed for a documentary, produced by Philadelphia’s Art in Motion Media.
FUNDING SUPPORT
With January fast approaching, we are still in need of about $30,000 funding to support the tour. Though we know recognition is not the motivation, there will nonetheless be acknowledgement of the generosity that each and every individual shows towards this experience. All donors will be mentioned in the programs, promotional pieces, and in the documentary credits.
We are offering several Levels of Giving for donor acknowledgement:
$15,000+ Global Ambassador
$10,000+ Platinum Ambassador
$5,000+ Gold Ambassador
