From the evaluation on
the workshop:
(translation:
Have your opinions changed during the last six
months? Did the workshop have an influence on this change?
- What did change was the thought I had that all Jews hate Arabs. (one of the arab members)
- I learned to accept, to become more moderated, to
listen.
Has the workshop’s program enriched you? In what way?
- The program enriched me in the entire theatrical field. I am proud of
myself and of all of us that we have gone through the workshop in spite the
difficulties. The theatrical and social contents I got from this workshop are
things I could never have gotten somewhere else.
- The workshop enriched me to a great extend, mostly in all the
theatrical fields. I discovered types of theatre that I did not know existed
and I learned to deal with new things. I made amazing connections with people
through theatre and through our staying here. I took part in only three
meetings but I took a lot from them. Thank you.
- The playback was an amazing experience! It is very special to
play theatre for someone else. I’ve never put so much effort on stage as I did
for Marwan, when I was acting him.
What are your conclusions from the workshop?

- In order to communicate with and excite people there is no need of
language.
- Bilingual and bi-national theatre is a complicated business, but if
everyone wants and is willing to put into it - it’s worth every second of
frustration from language, culture and different costumes.-
My conclusion: Jews and Arabs can live together in a better way and learn to
know each other better. I learned to behave better with Jews and to pay more
attention to what exactly it is that Jews think about the Arabs.

A report about the First meeting in
November
After this meeting in Giv’at Haviva all the other
meetings this year took place in the St. Lords hotel in Nazareth in the El-Kroom neighborhood (because of financial problems, and also
the atmosphere was bad, not good for jewish-arab
work). From there, from the porch, you can see the whole city, the valley, the Karmel. However, specifically in our weekends the weather
was rainy and cloudy.
