Ariga is the first of the Israeli web sites devoted to the Israeli-Arab peace process.

Arik Institute
Hebrew and English Web site promoting peace and reconciliation, dedicated to Arik, a youthful victim of the conflict.

Bringing Peace Together
A multifaceted group founded in 2004 and aiming at bringing together representatives of different peace movements in order to exchange visions and experiences with each other. This group was founded by Walid Salem of Panorama Center.

Brit Tzedek v'Shalom
Brit Tzedek v'Shalom, the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace, is a national organization of American Jews deeply committed to Israel's well being through the achievement of a negotiated settlement to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

U.S. Interreligious Committee for Peace
The U.S. Interreligious Committee for Peace in the Middle East is a national organization of Jews, Christians and Muslims dedicated to dialogue, education and advocacy for peace based on the deepest teachings of the three religious traditions.

Wi'am: Palestinian Conflict Resolution Center
Wi'am works in the greater Bethlehem community to build a democratic and just society. The Center aims to improve the quality of relationships by: addressing injustices; dignifying persons on both sides of the conflict; promoting human rights, and advocating for peace among all people.

Abraham Fund
A not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting coexistence between the Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel. The org has two offices, with one in Israel and the other in New York.

Beit Hagefen
Beit Hagefen - Haifa's municipal, national and international center was founded in 1963 to create a meeting place for social and cultural encounters between Arabs and Jews and to encourage understanding and coexistence.

Building Bridges
Building Bridges for Peace brings young women from Denver, Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza together to participate in a 21-day intensive communication workshop at a retreat center in the mountains of Colorado.

Bustan L'Shalom
Bustan means 'grove' in both Hebrew and Arabic.  Bustan is a grassroots partnership addressing the plight of indigenous and marginalized people in Israel/Palestine. Bustan is Pro-Israel, Pro-Palestine, anti-War, and anti-Occupation.

Center for Jewish-Arab Economic Development (CJAED)
CJAED helps to provide resources and support for organizations engaged in economic development between Arabs and Jews.

Dialogue Project
NYC Dialogue Project brings together adult Palestinians, Jews/Israelis and Supportive Others (Christian, Muslim, secularist, humanist, etc.) for intense dialogue and intimate conversation.

Hello Peace is a free telephone service that encourages Israelis and Palestinians to start talking to one another. If you're in Israel, the West Bank or Gaza, you can pick up the phone and talk to someone on the other side about reconciliation, tolerance, and peace, just dial 6364.

Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Transformation network
Palestinian Noah Salameh and Israeli Edy Kaufman maximize the resources of The Center for Conflict Resolution & Reconciliation (CCRR) Bethlehem, and The Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace, Jerusalem, to gather a growing community of individuals and non-governmental organizations to exchange creative ideas.

Interns for Peace (IFP)
IFP trains community development peace workers, in Israel and in the West Bank/Gaza, Jordan and Egypt who initiate joint projects between Jews and Arabs in Israel.

Jerusalem Circus Association
The Jerusalem Circus Association is dedicated to the development of circus arts as a tool for dialogue and coexistence and is committed to teaching circus arts to young people from all sectors of Israeli society, so they may learn to work together for a common future.

Jewish Dialogue Group
A group of Philadelphia Jewish community members and friends that came together in November 2001 to promote dialogue and deliberation about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

Jewish Palestinian Living Room Dialogue Group
This group is based in San Mateo, CA and has been involved in dialogue work for over 10 years. This Web site has useful advice on how to use dialogue as a tool to work toward peace between Palestinians and Israelis.

Just Like You
Palestinian Forsan Hussein and Jew Michael Bavley, both Israelis, model Dialogue in their lives and are exquisite public spokesmen for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Now in the U.S, these young men have created an inspiring Web site for everyone.

Hope Flowers School
The Hope Flowers School is a Palestinian school located in Bethlehem dedicated to education for coexistence, peace, non-violence and democracy.

Manhattan -based cable TV and Webcast shows about dialog.

MidEast Citizen Diplomacy
A U.S. based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Jewish-Palestinian reconciliation through: people-to-people peace building initiatives; compassionate listening as a tool for reconciliation; and educational outreach.

A Palestinian, Jerusalem-based, independent institution committed to fostering the principles of democracy and effective dialogue.

Museum on the Seam
Located on the seam of east and west Jerusalem, the museum presents an attempt, for the first time in Israel to deal with themes of dialogue, (understanding and co-existence in a museum setting.  We highly recommend taking the virtual tour.

Negev Coexistence Forum
The forum is a framework for Jewish Arab cooperation, joined struggle for equal civil rights, recognition of unrecognized Bedouin villages, education for tolerance and mutual understanding.  

Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam
A village in Israel established jointly by Jews and Palestinian Arabs of Israeli citizenship and engaged in educational work for peace, equality and understanding between the two peoples.

Open House
Open House was founded in 1991 to further peace and coexistence among Israeli Arabs and Jews in the mixed city of Ramle. It sponsors the Center for Jewish-Arab coexistence.

Open Tent
Open Tent is a coalition of groups and individuals whose mission it is to promote understanding and appreciation of Middle Eastern cultures and their shared values and history. They organize educational and cultural activities and are based out of the Los Angeles area.

PEACE - a Mid-East Dialogue Group
The PEACE group is dedicated to promoting peace in the Middle East through dialog and joint action of citizens of all countries in the region.

Peace Child Israel- Coexistence Through Drama
Peace Child Israel was founded in 1988. Using theater and the arts as a tool for dialogue Peace Child Israel's objectives include education towards democratic values in civic society, tolerance and mutual respect. 

Nemashim Arab-Jewish Theater Community in Israel
Israeli-Arab theatre commune. Site includes photos and films of performances.

Peacemaker Community - Middle East
A coalition of interfaith and peace organizations join efforts to pray for peace and unity in Israel.

Peaceworks fosters co-existence through business.

Qantara is a Web site devoted to dialog with Islam, featuring many thought-provoking and informative articles and useful links.

The People to People Program
The Program aims to foster wider public exposure to, and involvement in the peace process; it will strengthen and increase direct people-to-people relationships and cooperation based on equality and reciprocity.

Re'ut-Sadaka (Friendship)
Re'ut-Sadaka is a joint Jewish-Arab Youth Movement for Coexistence and Peace. Re'ut-Sadaka provides Jewish and Arab youth the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and perspectives and to develop friendships across cultural lines.

San Diego Jewish-Palestinian Dialogue
Some participants of San Diego's 8 thriving dialogues offer an online audio and visual documentary of their process and other useful resources.

Sea of Life
Produces a range of healthful products with minerals and other ingredients from the Dead Sea. All products are co-created by Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians and manufactured by Jordael, an Israel-Jordan joint venture.

Seeds of Peace
Seeds of Peace is a non-profit, non-political organization that helps teenagers from regions of conflict learn the skills of making peace. Founded in 1993 by author and journalist John Wallach, Seeds of Peace has focused primarily on bringing Arab and Israeli teenagers together before fear, mistrust and prejudice blind them from seeing the human face of their enemy.

Shemesh means "sun" in Hebrew and was begun by the Arab village of Shaab and the Jewish community of Shorashim in the Galilee. Shemesh is engaged in a number of community projects, including local summer camps for Arab and Jewish children.

Soccer for Peace
The mission of Soccer For Peace is to promote tolerance, understanding and peace in the Middle East, and ultimately throughout the world, by uniting children of different backgrounds in their shared love of soccer.

The Sulha Peace Project began in 2001 as a community celebration and intimate sharing of the holidays of Ramadan and Chanukah. Sulha is an indigenous middle eastern way of reconciliation.

In the fall of 2000 Arab and Jewish citizens of Israel joined together to form "Ta'ayush" (Arabic for "life in common"), here was and is a grassroots movement of Arabs and Jews working to break down the walls of racism and segregation by constructing a true Arab-Jewish partnership.

Talking Peace
Talking Peace  is not a group. It is a video documentary about a Jewish Palestinian Living Room Dialogue Group in San Diego, California.

The Matti Peled Foundation
The Mati Peled Foundation, founded in 2002 by Marek and Avi Glezerman, is a nonprofit association, dedicated to advancing the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, Arab and Jews.

Windows - Channels for Communication
Windows was established in 1991 by Jewish and Arab artists and educators living in Israel. Their mission is to promote meaningful dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians through media and art.

Peace is Possible
Peace Is Possible is a lecture, discussion, and film series in the New York City area conceived as a response to the dissolution of the Oslo peace process and the protracted violence that has afflicted Israel and Palestine.

Pieces for Peace
More than 150 Palestinian and Israeli youth met to create 330 square feet of mosaic. 

The Promises Film Project is a non-profit organization committed to furthering the Middle-East peace process by using the power of film to educate audiences about the importance of supporting peace efforts. 

Stand Up for Peace
Scott Blakeman and Dean Obeidallah founded and produce Standup For Peace, which presents Jewish and Arab-American comedians standing together for a non-violent, political solution to the Middle East crisis.

White Flag
White Flag was a Palestinian-Israeli band, whose members focused on listening to each other and creating together, both in their music and their daily lives. Due to the political situation the activity of the band has stopped. Hoping for a better future, some of the members keep working on the first album of the band.

D. Environment

Arava Institute for Environmental Studies
The Arava Institute offers Egyptian, Israeli, Jordanian, Palestinian and overseas students an intensive hands-on academic program focusing on their joint environment.

Friends of the Earth, Middle East (FoEME)
FoEME is an umbrella organization representing leading Middle East environmental non-governmental organizations that promote cooperative efforts to protect their environment for a lasting peace in the region.

LINK was founded by environmental planner Stephanie Firestone, and a group of Galilee residents, Arab and Jewish, who identified a need to work together to change the current environmental situation in the region.

 Migrating Birds Know No Boundaries
Bird migration "knows no boundaries" and can be used as an educational tool that contributes to the peace process.

Palestinian Israeli Environmental Secretariat
PIES supports environmental NGOs that support Israeli-Palestinian cooperation and develops joint activities in two primary areas: education and public awareness and environmental protection. Outdated - but some good material on here nonetheless.

Palestine Wildlife Society
Participates in migrating bird program with the International Center for the Study of Bird Migration.

Bat Shalom
Bat Shalom is a feminist peace organization of Israeli women who work towards a just peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

Brit Shalom
Brit Shalom is a new Jewish Palestinian group that was founded in Israel. Its broad aims are equality of Israeli citizens and the promotion of cooperation with the Palestinian residents of the territories.

Community of Lesbian Feminists in Israel,(CLAF)
CLAF is a grassroots organization that aims to benefit all Israeli lesbians through a combination of advocacy, public education and community development activity.

Haifa Women's Coalition
The Haifa Women's Coalition is made up of 4 organizations working at both the national and local levels to combat forms of violence against all women and improving the status of women in general.

Israel Women's Network (IWN)
IWN is a network of women from all aspects of Israeli society that work against discrimination in the household and the workplace and to improve the status of women in Israel.

Over the decades, NA'AMAT has built bridges of understanding and support between Jewish and Arab Israeli women. Today, NA'AMAT is more involved in promoting the Israeli Arab woman's quality of life than any other organization in the country.

Nisan Young Women Leaders
Nisan Young Women Leaders develops the leadership potential of Jewish and Arab Israeli young women, and foster communication and cooperative partnerships among them.

Women of the Wall
An organization of Jewish women from the four streams of Judaism who come together at the Western Wall to pray every Rosh Chodesh (new month).

US/Israel Women to Women
US/Israel Women to Women provides seed money for grassroots efforts in Israel which advocate equal status and fair treatment for both Arab and Jewish women in all spheres of Israeli life.

F. Refusers

Courage to Refuse/Ometz le'Sarev
Courage to Refuse is a group of reserve combat officers and soldiers whose initial refusal declaration in January 2002 generated widespread controversy throughout Israel and re-energized the peace movement.

The Forum for Supporting Conscientious Objectors
The Forum for Supporting Conscientious Objectors has been established to defend CO's and their right to refuse army duty on grounds of conscience.

New Profile
New Profile addresses issues of militarism and gives support to conscientious objectors to military service in Israel.

Refuser Solidarity Network
A Web portal to unite international supporters of the Israeli Refusers, the site unites the Israeli Refuser Groups: Courage to Refuse (or Ometz le'Sarev - the most well-known refuser group), Yesh Gvul (known for selective refusal) & Shministim (composed of high school seniors).

The Shministim or Israeli Youth Refusal Movement, once numbering 62, the Shministim now numbers 200 high school seniors who have announced that they "refuse to be soldiers for occupation."

Yesh Gvul (There is a limit!)
The oldest and most active organization supporting reservists who refuse to serve in the Occupied Territories (known as "selective refusal").

G. Political Parties

The Democratic front for peace and equality in Israel (the Communist Party of Israel), an Arab Jewish Israeli party.

Labor is the main left-of-center Israeli political party. It supports a 2-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and we still remember its roots as the political party that led the movement to found the state of Israel.

Seeks to transform the face of religious Zionism. Its name is a Hebrew acronym for "Jewish State, Democratic State." Meimad currently runs on a joint list with the Labor Party.  

Meretz is a democratic peace-seeking party in which Arabs and Jews work together. Meretz is fully committed to human rights, equality, social justice, Israel's security, and to the values of humane Zionism.

Meretz USA for Israeli Civil Rights and Peace
US affiliate of the Meretz Party - is a progressive Zionist organization that educates Americans about issues of civil rights and peace in Israel.

H. Youth/Zionist Groups

Ameinu  advocates a pluralistic, democratic Israel and progressive social policies in the United States. Ameinu's political agenda addresses a range of domestic and international issues .

Habonim Dror North America
Founded in 1935, Habonim Dror(the Builders of Freedom) is a Progressive Labor Zionist Youth movement whose missions are: To build a personal bond and commitment between North American Jewish youth and the State of Israel. 

The Hagshama Department  (also  The Hagshama Department of the World Zionist Organization )
"The quickest way to get to Israel" - The Hagshama Department of the World Zionist Organization was established in January 1998, with the aim of placing the fulfillment "Hagshama" of the Zionist vision high on the agenda of young Jewish adults (18-30).

Hashomer Hatzair
Hashomer Hatzair is a youth movement based on the principles of Progressive Zionism, Social Justice, Progressive Judaism and self-actualization, and committed to peace and equality.

Hamagshimim (Young Judea)
The Zionist youth group sponsored by Hadassah is conservative.

Kibbutz Artzi
The Kibbutz Artzi is a federation comprised of 85 kibbutzim founded by the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement. 

Labor Zionist
The State of Israel deserves to be free of intimidation, terrorism, and rejection by its Arab neighbors, including the Palestinians. The Palestinian people deserve to live in peace and normalcy in their own country."

Progressive Zionist Alliance
The Philadelphia-based group promotes Israeli-Palestinian peace and supporting movements for social justice within Israel.

  Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility
For thirty years the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) has been a leader of the corporate social responsibility movement.

Interfaith Encounter
Interfaith dialogue was established in Israel in the late 1950's by a small group of visionaries, including Martin Buber and others. The Interfaith Encounter Association is dedicated to promoting peace in the Middle East through interfaith dialogue and cross- cultural study.
